-Yuna (summoner)- -of Final Fantasy X- {Back To Cosplay Gallery} Date Completed: April 2003 First Worn at: Anime Boston 2003 Time Spent: 40+ hours Materials Cost: approx $150 Awards: Design Award in Craftsmanship @ AB '04 (worn by a friend) Notes: This was my first major cosplay project... and while many people seem to like it, I am not really happy with it. It desperately needs to be remade in my opinion. I loved wearing it and I really love the design, and so sometime I would like to remake it (or parts of it) with the skill and knowledge I have now. The skirt, Obi, and medallion were hand painted, and the beads were made from sculpy and painted with acrylics. I used two shades of pink RIT dye and my mom helped out with the dip dying of the sleeves. I made the black halter bra from a dance leotard that I cut up and then added the back strap to. This costume has been worn by me and by my friend Yummy. Some of the photos are of Yummy in the costume and it was her who wore it at Anime Boston when we won the Design Award (I was Lady Luck Yuna that time) and when we appeared in the November 2003 issue of Animerica.
