-of Harry Potter- {Back To Cosplay Gallery} Date Completed: September 2004 First Worn at: school; Sept. 2003 & Otakon 2004 7/29 - 8/1 Time Spent: 10 hours Materials Cost: approx. $80 Notes: I originally made this to wear to school on the first day of my Junior year... mostly to freak people out. I had the stuff to do it so I only had to get a scarf and the patch for the robe. I have since then worn it to the Premier of Prisoner of Azkaban, Otakon 2004, and the Book Release Party at Connecticon '05. It is, as you can probably guess, very comfortable so its quite nice to wear. I've added a few additions to this costume over time, like the student hat, sweater, and a new (POA style) tie. Certainly the simplest costume I have ever made, and probably one of the most recognizable too! Photos by Signe Greenwold and Beth Burger
