-WELCOME-

Hello and welcome to Kairi G Design, the Cosplay and Fashion portfolio of Erica Greenwold. It has been a long time since I have updated the content and galleries here, due to being in school full time for fashion design, and working a part time job as well. As I am moving towards graduation I feel that I will need a more detailed portfolio of my work. Which means, very soon I will be creating a new layout and new galleries focused on my design work in addition to my cosplay. So until then, please pardon the fact that everything on here is about 2 years old!

Thank you for being patient with my lack of updates. I actually have plans to revamp this site soon, at which point all the crap I have done in the last year will be updated! We just went to Otakon a little over a week ago, and a friend and I won 1st place in the Craftsman Division of the Saturday Hall Cosplay with our Princess Zelda and Ilia costumes. I have a deviantArt account these days which I update a lot more and I urge you to visit there to see what I have been up to lately. I also have a lot of pictures of my new cosplay work up on AC Paradise. Stay tuned for a new and better website hopefully coming soon!!! :D

Well now this is the longest ever that I have gone without touching this site, and I apologize to anyone who expected an update sooner! In the past year a lot has happened which has kept me away from here. I moved to NYC last summer and live here permanantly now. I am still at FIT for school and I will be getting my associates degree this May and then I am continuing on for the BFA program in the fall. Currently I am working on my exhibition garments for the AAS show. I have been working part time at BMW of Manhattan, and its a great place to work and I have wonderful coworkers! Between work and school there has been little time for much else, but I have started cosplaying agaiin finally. I attended Genericon and Katsucon so far this year and I have completed two new costumes, but not the ones that are listed on the site as In-progress, Kairi is probably not going to be finished and Padme might be someday, but not anytime soon. I made Suu from Clover for Genericon, and a Faye costume (her purple dress from episode 15) from Cowboy Bebop for Katsucon. Suu won Best Overall Craftsmanship at Genericon! As for future plans, I will be attending Anime Boston this spring, and possibly AnimeNext in June. For Anime Boston I am working on two new costumes, White Duelist Utena and Lilith from Darkstalkers. Sometime when I get a free moment I will update the costume pages with all the new stuff, but until then visit my Cosplay Lab page or Cosplay.com for pictures!

Heh, yes I realize I havent been very good at updating too often. Honestly, it is because I havent felt that I had anything interesting to post. Currently I am working on my term garment for second semester, which is jacket and shorts set with a kinda nautical theme. As far as costumes go, I havent really worked on anything the last few months, because I havent had any particular events to plan for. I might be going to some cons this summer, but I dont know what yet.

OH MAN! Its been a very long time since I last updated. First off, I have added the pages for two new original garments in the Design gallery, one of which was my Term Garment for my first semester at FIT. I have added the Costume page for Ginny Weasley, which I wore to the premiere of Goblet of Fire back in November. I added two new and better pictures of my Aeris dress from back in 2004. I have also added Kairi from Kingdom Hearts 2 to my In Progress list. I am approximately 40% done with it. Since the UNYCS Masquerade Ball was cancelled, I havent been working on Padme since December, but I hope to get back to work on it soon. I keep working, but I have no clue as to when I will be wearing these costumes to a convention, my schedule is looking quite empty as of now.

I added the Paperclay How-to in the tutorial section. It isnt much, but has some helpful tips. New Utena pictures will be added today as well. I just found 3 new ones on my computer. Goblet of Fire premiers this week, and I am going to the midnight show as Ginny! yay!

Ok so over the weekend I finished up Sailor Pluto, went trick or treating in the dorm buildings, and worked on draping dressed as Tonks. Very amusing I might say. Got pictures of Tonks now up, and both the information page and pictures for Sailor Pluto. I will probably have more pictures of both sometime in the near future. Padme has officially been added as my next cosplay project. The picture in the Cosplay Gallery links to my Cosplay Lab page on Padme. It has been a successful weekend. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! :D

Added information on my Tonks costume for Halloween and the premiere of Goblet of Fire. No pictures yet though. Should have some after next week.

All of the pages have been switched to the new format. A page for my sisters Padme Lake Dress has been added in the EverRose Cosplay Gallery. The Cosplay Gallery has also been updated and pictures of Han Solo and Anakin can be found on my main cosplay gallery page.

Added the pages for Madame Tonberry's costumes, including Professor Sprout, Tonberry mascot, and Yubaba. Still have some of my own and my sisters costume pages to switch over to this new format.
